Folk Insurance Agency, also known as Wiedmayer-Uckele Insurance, is a local, family-owned and operated insurance agency that has been proudly serving the Saline, Ann Arbor, and surrounding areas of Washtenaw, Lenawee, and Monroe counties since the early 1940s. We are licensed in Michigan and Ohio, and we are active members of the Saline Area Chamber of Commerce, MAIA, IIABA, and NFIB.

Our agency started as a small family business in Saline, Michigan, and it has grown over the years while still maintaining its roots in the local community. Norman Wiedmayer founded the agency, and after his retirement in 1981, Wayne Uckele took over the business and moved it to 213 E Michigan Ave, creating the Wiedmayer-Uckele Insurance Agency. In 1995, Jeff Folk became the owner of the agency, bringing with him years of experience and knowledge of the insurance industry. He understands that customer service is the cornerstone of a successful business, and he has been committed to providing excellent service ever since.

Today, Folk Insurance Agency is an independent insurance agency that represents many different companies, allowing us to shop for the best rates for our clients.
