The Vintage Hawaii

The Vintage Hawaii is a non-profit boutique that offers a unique and diverse collection of vintage and antique treasures from all over the world and our local community. We are an extension of Surfing The Nations, a non-profit humanitarian organization dedicated to making a positive impact in Wahiawa, Hawaii, and other cultures around the globe. Our mission is to provide a carefully curated selection of vintage and antique items, including clothing, jewelry, art, houseware, and international goods, so that you can enjoy the thrill of discovering hidden gems without the hassle of traditional thrifting.

Our Origins

The Vintage Hawaii is located in the heart of Wahiawa, Oahu, amidst a thriving business community. However, it wasn't always like this. For nearly a century, the block was plagued by poverty, violence, gangs, and the sex industry. Businesses associated with the industries we sought to drive away continued to be the only tenants in the area, even when we lowered the rent below market value. To ensure that the businesses on the block aligned with our core values, we opened our own - The Surfers Coffee Bar and The Vintage Hawaii. Our presence sparked a movement of transformation, inviting other start-up businesses to join in revitalizing the community of Wahiawa.

Giving Back to the Community

The Vintage Hawaii is committed to funding projects that benefit our community, particularly the youth and families of Hawaii and other cultures worldwide. Our current project is the development of The Community Outreach and Training Center (COTC), a new home for many Surfing The Nations operations. The COTC will house a music studio, art studio, dance and classroom, food pantry, social workers' office, a public restroom and shower, and office space for Surfing The Nations' staff. This center will allow us to continue and expand our Internship program, Surfers Leadership program, Ulu Pono Kids program, and Feeding The Hungry program. The COTC stands as a symbol of redemption and hope for generations to come, as it is built on the site of a former brothel.
