Empowering Builders, Growing Communities
Welcome to the Sampson County Home Builders Association website! We are a trade association consisting of builder and associate member firms. Affiliated with the North Carolina and National Association, our membership comprises many hardworking men and women who pool information and efforts to provide the collective clout and muscle the home building industry needs, for self-protection, for the benefits of its members, and for the protection of home buyers.
The benefits of the association and the building industry accrue not only to its members but also to the general public at large through the enhanced economic and social benefits derived from a viable building industry. Through its programs and activities, the association encourages industry professionalism, provides a forum to consolidate industry views, and serves as a proactive advocate for the building industry which, through the assistance of NCHBA, provides homes for the citizens of Sampson, Duplin, and surrounding counties.
Our association plays a key role in helping maintain consistently higher industry standards of conduct, quality, and ethics. If you are a home builder or supplier to the industry, the representation you receive from NCHBA through its affiliation with the National Association of Home Builders is vital to your interest, your needs, and your survival in America's largest industry.

Our Leadership
Since its formation, the Sampson County Home Builders Association has worked to empower builders and give them a seat at the table when decisions are made that will affect the home-building industry. Each year, our members select officers and a board of directors they believe will best represent them in these efforts.
Our current leadership includes:
- President: William Goodrich, Wm Goodrich Construction
- Vice President: Robert Stroud, Robert Stroud Masonry
- Past President: Hugh H. Carr, H. N. Carr Inc
- Executive Officer: Ann Gainey, nanagainey@hotmail.com
Our board of directors also includes esteemed members such as Jimmy Sinclair from J E Sinclair Co, James Spearman from North State Development, Barry Mills from Associated Development Inc, and Myron Cashwell from Sampson County Inspections.
Our Community Involvement
We believe in giving back to our community and are committed to making a positive impact. One of our recent initiatives includes the establishment of a $10,000 endowment with the Sampson Community College Foundation in 2004. This endowment was intended to establish scholarships and assist students enrolled in trades programs at Sampson Community College. Ideally, those students would graduate and then give back to the community through the trade that they learned.
