At Group Care Global, our mission is to promote group health care for pregnant and parenting people, infants, partners, and their families to improve health and well-being. To support this mission, we collaborate with international partners to integrate Centering-Based Group Care into health systems.

Our approach is centered around the core components of Community Building, Education, and Support. We believe that empowering individuals, families, and communities to take ownership of their health and well-being is the key to achieving better health outcomes and increased satisfaction with care.

Our Services

Our services are designed to support the needs of pregnant and parenting people, infants, partners, and their families. We offer a range of programs and services, including:

• Group Care Training: We provide training for healthcare providers and professionals on the Centering-Based Group Care model. Our training programs help healthcare providers develop the skills and knowledge needed to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Consultant-Trainers: Our consultant-trainers work with healthcare organizations and systems to implement and sustain Centering-Based Group Care. Our consultants provide expert guidance and support to help organizations achieve their goals.
• Advisory Council: Our advisory council is comprised of international experts and leaders in the field of centering-based group care. The council provides strategic guidance and oversight to ensure that our work is grounded in evidence-based practices and is aligned with the latest research and developments in the field.

Our History

Group Care Global is a non-profit dedicated to promoting a group care model based on the CenteringPregnancy model developed in the United States in the early 1990s by nurse-midwife, Sharon Schindler Rising. Hundreds of published studies have documented better health outcomes for mothers and babies and increased satisfaction with care.

At Group Care Global, we are a diverse and dedicated team of professionals who are passionate about improving health and well-being. Our team includes board members, leadership team members, consultant-trainers, and student interns. We are proud to work alongside international partners and collaborators to achieve our mission.
