Our story began in 1957 when our family founded Own Instrument Inc., a CNC Machine Shop in Mount Vernon, New York. Over the years, we've remained committed to quality workmanship and personalized customer service, while keeping pace with the latest advancements in technology and equipment. This dedication has allowed us to build a reputation for excellence, spanning three generations of family ownership and operation.

We offer a wide range of services, including Precision CNC Machining, Short/Long Run Production, Prototypes/Experimental Work, Turning, Milling, Boring, CAD/CAM, and High Quality Work/JIT Quality Control. Our capabilities are backed by a diverse array of state-of-the-art equipment, including 5-axis CNC Mills, and supported by the latest CAD/CAM technology.

Facility and Equipment

Our shop is equipped with numerous pieces of CNC equipment, all tied directly into our CAD/CAM system. This setup increases productivity and ensures a superior product in less time.
