At Kahului Baptist Preschool, we believe that every child is a unique and special gift from God, with their own God-given talents and abilities. Our Mission and Vision

Our mission is to provide a loving, nurturing, Christ-centered environment of discovery and learning for preschoolers. We envision children growing and learning in a way that glorifies God, obeying His commands, and building a strong foundation for their future.

Our Values

We value a structured environment where discipline is motivated by love for the children. We believe in open communication between school and home, and we encourage parent participation in our program. We challenge our students to achieve their potential and grow in their relationship with God. We guide positive social interaction and respect, and we are committed to meeting the needs of our students with a qualified Christian staff.

Our Staff

We are blessed with a staff that loves children and sees them as God sees them. Our staff is educated in Early Childhood Education, with ongoing Professional Development, and are all First Aid Certified with an emphasis on young children. They are dedicated to providing a loving and caring environment that nurtures the whole child - spiritually, emotionally, socially, and academically.

Financial Aid

We believe that every child deserves a quality education, regardless of their family's financial situation. That's why we offer financial aid and scholarships to families in need. We are a recipient of the Castle Foundation Grant and also accept financial assistance from other organizations, including Preschool Open Doors, Good Beginnings, Pauahi Keiki, Quality Care for Hawaii's Keiki, and Arbor.

Our History

Kahului Baptist Preschool began in 1946 as a ministry of Kahului Baptist Church. We are licensed by the State of Hawaii's Department of Social Services and have been approved by the County of Maui's Health, Fire, and Building Departments. We are Accredited by NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) and ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International).

About Our Program

Our program is designed to provide a comprehensive education that prepares children for kindergarten and beyond. We offer a variety of activities and experiences that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Our curriculum is designed to be engaging, interactive, and fun, with a focus on building a strong foundation in literacy, math, science, and social studies.
