Mechanical Design Department

Our Mechanical Design Department is equipped with the latest programming software and machine tool technologies to provide customized solutions that meet the precise specifications of our customers. We offer System Design, Analysis, and Manufacturing, Reverse Engineering, Prototype Design & Manufacture, 3D Models & 2D Drawings. Our licensed Mechanical Engineer, Casey Kenniston, is a graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and leads our team of skilled engineers to provide innovative solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

We use SolidWorks, Auto Cad, and SurfCam V16 software to get the job done. Our team of skilled engineers can provide customized solutions for single parts to complete mechanical systems, ensuring that every part we produce is of the highest quality and precision.

Quality Control

Quality is our calling card at Kenniston Machine & Engineering. We inspect at all phases of the manufacturing cycle to ensure defect-free production that meets exact customer requirements. Our Quality Control System is MIL-1-45208A compliant, and we have invested in the latest inspection equipment to ensure that every part we produce meets the highest standards of quality and precision.

Our inspection equipment includes a Mitutoyo 7106 Crysta-Apex V CMM, Mitutoyo 544 Crysta-Apex C CNC Coordinate Measuring Machine, Brown & Sharpe Tesa Height Gage 36", Brown & Sharpe Micro-Hite Gage 24", Brown & Sharpe Tesa-Hite 700 Gage 28", 4 Starrett Pink Granite Surface Plates 24" x 36" Grade A, Jones & Lamson Optical Comparator w/ digital readout, and a Ram Rockford Hardness Tester. Our temperature-controlled inspection environment and standard measuring tools, which are all traceable to the U.S. National Bureau of Standards, ensure that every part we produce meets the highest standards of quality and precision.
