Marine Tech Wire and Cable, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of electrical wire and cable, specializing in the production of shipboard cable for both commercial and naval ships. Our journey began in 2000, when our co-founders, Mark Lindsay and Kosta Kontanis, started the company with a dedicated team of just four employees in a 30,000 square foot facility located at 901 S. Richland Avenue in York, PA.

As our company grew, so did our facility. In 2004, we moved our operations to our current location at 631 S. Richland Avenue, where we now lease 50,000 square feet of manufacturing space and have over 25 employees. We have been fortunate to employ a dedicated workforce, with most of our employees having previous experience in wire and cable manufacturing. This collective expertise provides over 200 years of wire and cable manufacturing experience and knowledge to our customers.

Our co-founder, Mark Lindsay, has worked in the wire and cable industry for over 30 years. After graduating from Villanova University with a degree in mechanical engineering, he worked at BICC Cables Corp for 15 years, holding various engineering and management positions, including Product and Process Engineering Manager.

Kosta Kontanis, our other co-founder, has been involved with wire and cable for over 18 years. After graduating from the University of Rochester with a degree in electrical engineering, he served as a commissioned officer in the United States Navy for 5 years in the nuclear submarine force. He also worked for BICC Cables Corp as a process engineer.

Mark and Kosta started Marine Tech with a primary focus on shipboard cable. They saw a need in the market for a company that could provide high-quality, reliable cables that could withstand harsh environments such as sea water or high temperatures. Today, we continue to meet that need, manufacturing multiconductor cables used in ships, oil drilling platforms, and other industrial applications that require high performance in challenging environments.
