The Perfect Venue for Your Special Day

Painted Lakes Ranch is a 500-acre ranch located in North Texas, just outside the charming town of Bryson. Our wedding facility, The Texas Tumbleweed, is a beautifully restored historic barn that offers panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. The venue features a spacious 4,125 sq ft interior, an adjoining 3,000 sq ft patio and dance floor, and a catering prep area. We also offer multiple ceremony locations, including a lakeside view, an overlook, and a wooded area amongst the cedars.

Lodging and Amenities

At Painted Lakes Ranch, we offer luxurious cabin rentals for you and your guests to enjoy. Our cabins come equipped with modern amenities, including fire pits, fishing, a playground area for children, corn hole, horse shoes, volleyball pit, Frisbee golf, and more. We also offer romantic getaways, retreats, and party packages for any occasion.

Our Story

The Texas Tumbleweed Barn has a rich local history, dating back to 1927. Originally an oil field supply store, it was converted into a feed store and later served as a holding station for cattle. After years of restoration, the barn was relocated to its current site and renamed The Texas Tumbleweed Barn at Painted Lakes Ranch.
