At Styer Transportation, we're not just a company; we're a family dedicated to providing top-notch service to our drivers and clients. Our story began in 1966 when our founder, Melvin Simon Sr., also known as Curly, returned home from serving in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War. After his service, he stopped at a Wren Inc. in Lakeville, Minnesota, and they took a chance on him.

Over the years, Melvin proved his worth and became a trusted manager for the Wren family. He worked closely with Charles Wren, who assumed ownership of Wren Inc. after his father's death. As the company grew, the name was changed to Lakeville Motor Express. Charles' half-brothers, John, Steve, and Pat, all worked together to make Lakeville Motor Express a successful business.

Leroy (Red) Kehrer and Connie Styer also played a crucial role in our company's history. Red worked part-time for Lakeville Motor Express while working full-time for John Deere. Through his research, he realized the need and supply for hauling parts to a dealer network in southern Minnesota.

This realization led to the establishment of Styer Transportation, specializing in shipping truckloads and large partials for a variety of dry van freight. Since then, we've been dedicated to providing all our drivers and customers with the same high-quality solutions and unsurpassed customer service.
