What species do you treat?
We primarily treat dogs and cats, with occasional small exotic animals. Our facility handles most small animal needs but refers complex equine or large animal cases to specialists.
Do you handle emergencies after hours?
For emergencies outside our Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm hours, we refer to Fresno Veterinary Specialty Center. We provide urgent care during lunch breaks but recommend calling ahead for critical situations.
What sets your dental care apart?
We use digital radiography requiring light anesthesia to detect hidden tooth root issues. This allows comprehensive oral examinations and treatments that anesthesia-free cleanings cannot provide, preventing undiagnosed painful conditions.
Can you issue international health certificates?
Dr. Wise is USDA-accredited to issue official health certificates for domestic and international travel. Please schedule appointments well in advance for document preparation and official endorsement.
How do you manage surgical pain?
We use multi-modal pain management combining pre-operative medications, local nerve blocks, and post-operative prescriptions. All surgical patients receive IV catheters for fluid support and emergency access during procedures.
