High Five Music Academy is a musician-owned and operated music school that offers a wide range of music lessons and services to students of all ages and skill levels. Our mission is to cultivate the love of music inherent in every student by offering a comfortable learning environment that promotes the principles of dedication, teamwork, and community. We believe that music has the power to empower individuals and bring people together, and we strive to provide a supportive and inspiring environment for our students to grow and learn.

Our Services

At High Five Music Academy, we offer a variety of music lessons and services to suit the needs of our students. Our private lessons are tailored to each student's individual needs and musical interests, and we offer lessons in a wide range of instruments, including guitar, bass, ukulele, drums, piano, brass, strings, woodwinds, and voice. We also offer group lessons, homeschool lessons, and adult lessons, as well as virtual lessons for those who prefer to learn from the comfort of their own homes.

In addition to our lessons, we also offer guitar and bass setup and repair services, as well as instrument workshops and music workshops. Our students have the opportunity to participate in student performances, musical events, and student jam nights, which provide a fun and supportive environment for them to showcase their skills and connect with other music lovers.

Our Story

High Five Music Academy was founded by Chris Meek, a professional musician and educator with over 25 years of experience. Chris began teaching guitar to private students while studying music in college, and he went on to teach both private and group lessons in music stores, community centers, and his home. He added teaching at Soundwall Summer Rock Camp in 1996, starting as an assistant and advancing to Music Director. Chris's love of music and teaching gave birth to his dream of opening a music academy where students of all ages could have an opportunity to learn and grow together.
