Welcome to General Asphalt, a third generation family-owned business that has been proudly serving South Florida since 1966. Our company is one of the largest Heavy Highway and Civil contractors in the region, with a strong presence in both the public and private sectors. We specialize in the construction of roads, highways, airport runways, private community roads, and parking lots. Our two manufacturing plants produce over 500,000 tons of asphalt per year, including hot mix, warm mix, and cold patch asphalt, which are available for sale to local paving companies, contractors, and municipalities.

At General Asphalt, we are a one-stop-shop for all your roadwork needs. Our services include:

• Manufacturing: Our two Dade county plants manufacture standard, polymer, and friction course mixes for the construction and resurfacing of parking lots, roadways, and runways.
• Construction: Carefully planned projects are executed with high-grade quality asphalt placed with minimal disruption to traffic patterns. We meet the high demands of our South Florida population by providing efficient and effective construction services.
• Additional services: Through our extensive subcontracting network, we provide milling, concrete, earthwork, striping, lighting, and many other services. Our highly professional project management team manages these services to ensure that every aspect of your project is completed to the highest possible standard.
• Quality control: Our asphalt labs are ASHTOO accredited and FDOT approved to perform ASHTOO and ASTM testing. Our technicians are either FDOT or NICET qualified. Both facilities are certified to manufacture FAA and FDOT mixes.
• Safety: Our full-time Safety Officer is committed to the elimination of workplace and traffic hazards. We maintain a drug-free workplace and adhere to OSHA safety training and safety programs.
