The Country Club of Florida is an invitation-only private club dedicated to providing its members with an exceptional golfing experience and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Our club is located in the heart of the Delray Beach area, nestled within the picturesque Village of Golf.
Our Story
The Country Club of Florida's rich history began in 1955 when attorney Samuel M. Mitchell and renowned golf course architect Robert Bruce Harris discovered the perfect site for a golf course - a former dairy farm. The club opened its doors on December 1, 1956, and quickly gained popularity among golf enthusiasts, hosting several national golfing events, including the Western Golf Association's 56th Western Amateur Championship and the USGA Senior Women's Amateur Championship.
Our Course
Our 18-hole golf course, meticulously designed by Robert Bruce Harris, offers a unique and challenging experience for golfers of all skill levels. The course has undergone two significant renovations, first by Arthur Hills in 1987 and then by Lester George in 2006. These renovations have maintained the course's original routing sequence while incorporating stunning natural views, ponds, and lakes.
