At American Eyecare, we take pride in our family-owned business, serving the Lakes Region's eyecare needs since 1989. Our journey began with Fred McDonald, our founder and owner, who has been dedicated to providing exceptional optical services to our community for over three decades. But we don't do it alone - our family is comprised of wife, Suzanne, daughter, Meredith, and son-in-law, Scott (also our on-site optometrist), and son, Isaiah, who is learning the trade under the guidance of our experienced team.

Our talented team of opticians brings a combined total of 125 years of experience to the table. We are proud to have Fred McDonald, a Registered Optician with the state of New Hampshire, and his longtime colleagues, Bob Salome, Jim Crites, Mike Heath, Nick Berner, and Isaiah McDonald. Each of our opticians has years of experience in the optical industry, ensuring that our customers receive top-notch care and expert guidance in selecting the perfect eyewear.

On-Site Optometrist

In addition to our exceptional opticians, we are privileged to have Dr. Scott Krauchunas, O.D., Ph. D., our on-site optometrist. Scott provides comprehensive eye exams, diagnoses, and treats a wide range of eye conditions, including cataracts, glaucoma, and dry eye. Our on-site optometrist services ensure that you can receive expert care and attention in a single, convenient location.
