Our story began in 1906 when Mendele Rosnov, an immigrant from Russia, opened a small jewelry store on Jewelers Row in downtown Philadelphia. Fast forward to today, and we are proud to still be a family-owned and operated business, now in our 5th generation.

History and Heritage
Our history began with Mendele Rosnov, who served as the timekeeper to the Czar of Moscow and was an expert watchmaker and jeweler. In 1906, he opened Rosnov Jewelers on Jewelers Row in downtown Philadelphia. The store thrived under the guidance of his son, Saul, who was affectionately known as Babe. In 1970, Mitchell Rosnov, the third generation, moved the store to Jenkintown, Pennsylvania. Mitchell was one of the first jewelers ever to custom design and manufacture jewelry on the premises. Mitchell was also one of the first Gemologists certified by the G.I.A. in the area.
In 1980, David Rosnov, the fourth generation, joined the business and expanded the operation with his expertise in jewelry design, manufacturing, and knowledge of diamonds and gemstones. David's philosophy was to produce an environment that creates prestigious fine jewelry coupled with unmatched superb customer service.
Today, Scott Rosnov, the 5th generation, is at the helm of Rosnov Jewelers. Scott has already completed the required Gemological certification and is dedicated to continuing the family tradition of providing exceptional service and expertise to every customer.
