Our Team and Curriculum

Our team of highly trained instructors will guide your swimmer through the necessary fundamentals to achieve a higher level of water safety and confidence. Our curriculum is based on a nationally recognized program that has been fine-tuned to meet the unique needs of our student body in the greater Reno area. We focus on progressive swim skills, ensuring that each level builds upon the previous one, with safety always being our top priority.

Safety First

Safety is our number one consideration at Silver Bear. While we know that swim lessons can decrease the risk of drowning by 88%, we also understand that they should never replace constant adult supervision. Our lessons include safety drills and games every class to create muscle memory, so our swimmers know how to react in water emergencies. We also host a Safety Week every few months, dedicated to water safety education.

We offer a range of programs including Baby Swim, Learn to Swim, Swim Team, and Special Abilities. You can find us in several locations: South Reno, Sparks, Northwest Reno, and Lehi, Utah.
