At Folia Horticultural Design, we're a full-service landscape design/build firm based in Seattle, Washington. With over 30 years of experience, our team, led by President Peter Norris, has created hundreds of inspiring gardens and interior scapes. Our staff includes landscape architects, designers, and certified horticulturists who work closely with Mr. Norris to ensure each client receives a personalized design that complements the architecture of their residence or commercial space. We're particularly known for our expertise in incorporating hardy plants and durable hardscape elements, tailored to the specific needs of the northwest climate.

Our Story

Peter Norris, our President, began his venture in 1976 with his first design company, P&G Plant Company, out of Oregon. He went on to establish a successful nursery in Florida, specializing in tropical plants, and later founded Peter Norris Home & Garden, where he designed interior and exterior furniture and accessories. Peter's passion for architecture, gardens, interiors, and nature has been evident throughout his career. When not working, he enjoys exploring the neighborhood on his bike and spending time with his family.

Elise Norris, Vice President and Creative Director

Elise Norris, Peter's wife, brings a wealth of design experience, having studied graphic and interior arts at The Florence Institute of design. She's known for her extraordinary eye for beautiful design and her ability to translate designs onto paper and digital platforms. Elise is also involved in the day-to-day operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly.

Meet Trond, Our Sourcing Extraordinaire

Trond is our go-to person for sourcing unique and functional items for gardens and outdoor living environments. With a background of living throughout Europe and traveling extensively through Asia and India, he brings an incredible eye and vast knowledge base of products from around the world. His passion for finding fun and interesting pieces is unmatched, and he's always on the lookout for new and exciting items to incorporate into our designs.
