Keys Driving School

Located in Grand Haven, Keys Driving School provides drivers training in west Michigan. Our dedicated team of instructors, the Keys Driving Team, have completed the State of Michigan training classes and exams to receive instructor licenses. We offer professional and individualized instruction with many years of combined teaching experience. Our mission is to ensure that each student becomes a safe and responsible driver.

Michigan Driver's Education Program

Our classes focus on the rules of the road, legal licensing requirements, and safety obligations of the driver. Through class discussion, lecture, quizzes, and videos, students prepare to become confident and competent drivers. They learn analytical defensive driving techniques, including recognizing potential hazards such as weather, ice, aggressive drivers, driver fatigue, and drug and alcohol use. Our goal is to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to pass the State of Michigan driver education exam and earn a certificate of completion. This certificate can be presented at the Secretary of State's office for a level one driver's license.

We take pride in sharing our love of driving with our students. Our instructors patiently coach students in considerate highway use, both in the classroom and on the road. Keys Driving School is pleased to introduce our driving instructor, Rhonda Zost. Rhonda has been working in education for many years in the Grand Haven area. She is a fully licensed driver's education instructor in the State of Michigan and brings patience, confidence, and the ability to connect with teens. We are confident that your student will have a positive experience when learning and driving with Rhonda!

Rhonda explains why she enjoys teaching driving to teens: "As a resident of the Tri-Cities area for 10 years now, my extensive experience working with the school district shaped my decision to teach Driver's Education. My primary goal is to focus on the needs of each individual student, assess his/her skills, and build upon those skills by emphasizing the positive in a friendly and supportive manner. I also want to ensure that students understand the importance of safe driving and the responsibility that comes with it."
