Atelier, where craftsmanship meets excellence, is a premier destination for exquisite, custom woodwork, and artistic creations. Our founder, Alexandru Costiuc, hails from Romania, where he honed his skills through rigorous traditional European apprenticeship. His extensive experience spans four years of study at the School of Arts in Sibiu-Hermanstadt, where he specialized in sculpture in wood and clay, hand carving, and plaster casting works of art in varied sizes. Following his education, he embarked on a four-year apprenticeship with German master craftsmen, which granted him thorough, firsthand experience in fine furniture making.

After a decade in New York, where he worked closely with interior designers and building contractors, Alexandru relocated to Palm Beach County. His talent and dedication earned him commissions from renowned figures such as Italian fashion designer Gianni Versace, actor Sylvester Stallone, developer Thomas Krammer, and many more. A significant portion of his work is concentrated on the island of Palm Beach, encompassing both residential and large commercial projects.

One of his most notable achievements is his involvement in the renovation of the prestigious Brazilian Court Hotel, a historic landmark built in the '20s in a rich Mediterranean style. Working closely with owner and decorator Leslie and Richard Schlesinger, Alexandru's meticulous attention to detail and commitment to excellence have left an indelible mark on this iconic building. Many pieces of woodwork carry his signature touch, making him an integral part of the island's history.
