My name is Dalia Dayan, and I am a passionate and experienced piano teacher offering private lessons in Hudson, NY. I believe that music education should be accessible and enjoyable for everyone, regardless of age or ability.

I tailor each piano lesson to the individual student's strengths, weaknesses, and interests. I avoid relying on generic teaching materials and instead choose songs that resonate with each child's unique personality. I also encourage students to verbalize what they are playing, reinforcing their understanding of music theory.

Learning music should be a positive and empowering experience. I create a warm and supportive learning environment that fosters confidence and encourages students to embrace new challenges. I provide consistent praise and feedback, helping students celebrate their progress and overcome any challenges they face.

Diverse Expertise and Experience

I have over 25 years of experience teaching students of all ages and abilities, from preschoolers to adults. I utilize a proven teaching method called "Lo-Kno-Pla" which allows young children to play songs with both hands right from their first lesson. I also adapt my teaching style to cater to the individual needs of each student, including those with learning differences.

More Than Just Piano Lessons

In addition to traditional piano instruction, I also offer group music lessons that incorporate singing, playing, dancing, and music theory. I can also write personalized songs and arrangements for students upon request.
