Welcome to our Health Psychology practice, where we aim to provide you with a collaborative, comfortable, and confidential atmosphere to address your mental health needs. Our mission is to help you feel empowered and guide you on a positive path to growth and well-being. We understand that starting health coaching or psychotherapy can be challenging, but we are here to support you every step of the way.
Our practice is led by Dr. Cami R. Lokken, a licensed clinical psychologist with a specialty in health psychology. Dr. Lokken has over 20 years of experience in helping individuals with anxiety disorders and medical problems affected by stress, emotions, and behaviors. She is certified by the state of Indiana as a Health Service Provider in psychology (HSPP) and has worked in various clinical settings.
Dr. Lokken has also supervised students and other therapists, taught advanced graduate students at Indiana University, and published articles in professional journals on headaches. She has presented at national and international conferences and to general audiences on topics such as panic, anxiety disorders, health psychology, pain management, health behavior change, integrated care, and more. She is a member of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT), the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS), and the American Psychological Association (APA), adhering to the APA Code of Ethics.
In addition to her extensive background in psychology, Dr. Lokken was certified as a Health and Wellness Coach by Real Balance Global Wellness Services in 2013. She has seven years of experience doing health coaching for individuals with chronic medical problems.
Our Services
We offer a variety of services designed to help you achieve your mental health goals. These include:
- Health Psychology: Our health psychologists assist people with a variety of health conditions, usually thought of as medical. We help you understand the relationship between your mental health and your physical health and provide strategies to manage both effectively.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): CBT is an evidence-based psychotherapy that helps you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and actions are interconnected and how to make positive changes in your life.
- Telehealth: We offer our services via phone or secure video-conference, making it easier for you to access the help you need from the comfort of your own home. We serve people throughout Indiana and other PSYPACT states.
