L & B Farms

Welcome to L & B Farms, a family-owned equine facility located in the heart of Hershey, PA. We are passionate about providing a wide range of services for horse enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels. Our mission is to instill a love for horses and riding while promoting a friendly and welcoming environment.

Our story began with Lisa, our founder, who developed a passion for horses at a young age. She started riding, competing in shows, fox hunting, and exploring local trails. As she gained experience in handling and training horses, she realized her dream of sharing her love for horses with others. In 2005, Lisa took the plunge and purchased her first horse from a local rescue, CANTER. Although her first horse had to be put down due to an injury, her determination remained unshaken. She then found "Lillie's First, " an off-track thoroughbred who quickly became her heart's delight.

Lisa's love for teaching and coaching led her to become a Certified Horseman's Association (CHA) Instructor in 2008. This certification allowed her to enhance the lesson program and introduce a four-level horsemanship curriculum for students. Our professional instructors are carefully chosen for their knowledge, experience, and teaching abilities. They are dedicated to providing the best possible instruction tailored to each student's interests and abilities.

Our Facility

Our barn, located at 727 Bellaire Rd, Hershey, PA 17033, features 18 spacious stalls, an indoor riding arena, and an outdoor wash stall with hot water. Parents are welcome to stay in our comfortable upstairs viewing area/lounge during their children's lessons. We currently have seven paddocks/pastures and an additional outdoor arena that serves as a dry lot when necessary. Our facility is designed to meet the needs of both horses and riders.

Services Offered

At L & B Farms, we are proud to offer the following services:

*Riding Lessons*

We offer both private and group lessons in English and Western riding. Our specialties include eventing, which encompasses show jumping and cross-country riding/jumping. We cater to riders of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced students. Our goal is to equip students with a strong foundation in horsemanship and riding techniques.

*Camps*

Our camps provide a full week of equine learning and fun for children of all ages. Participants will enjoy various activities, including riding lessons, horse care demonstrations, arts and crafts, and trail rides.

*Saddle Up 4-H*

Saddle Up 4-H is a horse-themed club for kids that promotes sportsmanship and learning. Members will have the opportunity to participate in meetings, activities, and local shows.

*Horse Boarding and Leasing*

Horses don't have to be a lot of work at L & B Farms. We offer boarding and leasing opportunities with openings available. Our expert staff will take care of your horse's needs, allowing you to enjoy the pleasure of riding without the added responsibilities of daily care.

*IEA*

The Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) is a fun way to learn (a lot!) through showing. L & B Farms is proud to support IEA and encourages students to participate in this exciting program.
