Katsu Dojo is a traditional martial arts school that has been serving North Florida for over two decades. Our school is dedicated to providing a safe, fun, and challenging environment for students of all ages and ability levels. Our experienced instructors are dedicated to helping students achieve their goals, whether it's improving their physical fitness, building self-confidence, or competing in tournaments.
Our Philosophy
At Katsu Dojo, we believe that martial arts is not just a physical activity, but a way of life. We teach traditional karate styles, including Shito-ryu, which focuses on developing the mind, body, and spirit. Our classes are designed to challenge students of all ages and skill levels, and we offer programs for recreational students as well as competitive athletes.
Our Services
- Traditional Karate Classes: Our instructors teach traditional Shito-ryu karate, which focuses on developing technique, discipline, and physical fitness.
- Kobudo Classes: Our Kobudo program focuses on teaching students the art of Okinawan weapons, including the bo staff, sai, kama, and tonfa.
- Tournament Training: Our tournament team, Team Katsu, has won over 100 National Championship gold medals since 1999.
- Pre-Karate Classes: Our Pre-Karate program is designed for children aged 4 and 5, teaching them basic principles of karate, focus, and self-control.
- Ground Defense: Our Ground Defense program teaches students the basics of self-defense on the ground, including clinching, throwing, and take downs.
