A Unique History

Our restaurant has a story as rich as the flavors we offer. Legends surrounding the establishment speak of Obie (O.B.), the Olde Dog, a beloved canine who found a home at Olde Boston, Massachusetts. Seeking a new adventure, Obie (O.B.) journeyed westward, eventually arriving in Fort Dodge, Iowa. His journey tragically took an unexpected turn when he fell from a construction scaffold. Believed to haunt the Olde Boston building, Obie (O.B.) longed for a place where he could rest and be reunited with his friends.

In 2009, after the construction on the Olde Boston building was complete, the restaurant opened its doors. Obie (O.B.)'s spirit found peace within these walls, and his image can now be seen proudly displayed at Olde Boston's Restaurant & Pub, reminding us of the rich history and warmth that lies at the heart of our establishment.
