At the VA Pittsburgh Employees Federal Credit Union, we have been dedicated to providing financial services to our members since 1954. As a not-for-profit organization, our primary focus is on the mutual financial well-being and opportunity for our members. Our mission statement has remained the same over the years, and we continue to strive to be our members' institution of choice for comprehensive financial services.

Our History

Established in 1954, our credit union was founded with the aim of providing financial assistance to employees at the VA Pittsburgh. Over the years, we have expanded our services to include family members as well. Today, we continue to serve our community with a commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.

Our Services

We offer a wide range of financial services to our members, including loans, deposit accounts, and member services. Our loan options include member loans, loan rates, loan application, financial calculators, student loans, and first mortgage application. For deposit accounts, we provide deposit rates, financial calculators, NCUA insurance, and fee schedule. Our member services include surcharge-free ATMs, MasterCard SecureCode, TruStage Insurance, balance financial fitness, Sprint member discount, Invest in America, and MyCreditUnion.gov.

Our Locations

We have two convenient locations to serve our members. Our University Drive branch is located in Building 1, Ground Floor, Room AE148, and can be reached at (412) 360-1150. Our Heinz branch is located in the New Administration Building (70) and can be reached at (412) 822-3185. Both branches offer lobby hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Our Commitment to Accessibility

Our credit union is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience in accordance with ADA guidelines. Holiday Closings

We observe certain holidays throughout the year. Our upcoming holiday closings include Presidents' Day on Monday, February 19, 2024, Memorial Day on Monday, May 27, 2024, Juneteenth on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, Independence Day on Thursday, July 4, 2024, and Labor Day on Monday, September 2, 2024. Please make a note of these dates to plan your visits accordingly.

Annual Meeting

You're cordially invited to our Annual Meeting on Friday, April 26, 2024, from 11 am to 12 pm. The annual meeting is your chance to find out how your credit union is doing, meet the board and the employees. We will be having lite refreshments and prizes. The University Drive branch meeting will be held in Building 1 Conference Room 1W-104, and the Heinz branch meeting will be held in Heinz building 70 Conference Room 1A-163. If anyone is interested in being on the Board or Supervisory Board, please contact droffol@vapghefcu.org. We hope to see all our members there!

E-Statements and Forwarding Address

Please make a note; all accounts with a paper mailed statement have a $2.00 mailing fee each month, quarter, or yearly. The only way to waive this fee is to have e-statements on your computer. It is imperative that we have correct phone numbers and addresses otherwise when mail gets returned there is a $1.50 fee for change of address and if there is no forwarding address there is a $5.00 fee.
