As a dedicated and passionate music teacher, I, Sean Smith, am thrilled to introduce you to my guitar lessons and band coaching services. With over 23 years of experience in the music industry, I have had the privilege of playing in various bands, writing original music, touring the world, and being involved in every aspect of music and performance production.

About Me

Originally from San Francisco, I relocated to Los Angeles to continue and expand my multi-faceted music and teaching practices. Throughout my career, I have been inspired by my diverse musical influences, from punk and indie rock to psychedelic space doom metal. This rich musical heritage has not only shaped my teaching approach but also allowed me to develop a patient and dynamic approach to teaching music.

At Silver Echo Guitar Lessons, I prioritize creating a personalized learning experience that caters to each student's unique interests, learning style, and personality. I believe that every student presents a Blank Canvas, just waiting to be filled with colors, textures, and sounds. As your teacher, it is my job to help you unlock your creative potential and guide you through the learning process.

Lessons and Services

I offer customized and patient guitar lessons for all ages and skill levels, whether you're a beginner or looking to take your skills to the next level. In addition to guitar, I also teach bass, ukulele, drums, piano/synth, and harmonica. Whether you're interested in learning a new instrument or refining your skills in a specific genre, I'm here to support and inspire you.

Rates and Policies

Our introductory sessions are conducted on Zoom, and your first 15 minutes are complimentary to get acquainted. Lessons are purchased in blocks of four, with a non-refundable deposit required. The hourly rates are as follows: $100/60mins, $80/45mins, and $60/30mins. Preferred payment is through Venmo on the day of the last paid lesson.
