Our Story

Whitehead Recording was established in 1986 by Marty Kempf and Bob Genigeski, lifelong musicians who wanted to bring their passion for music to the next level. Starting from humble beginnings, we've grown into one of the most respected recording studios in Michigan, and possibly the world. Our founders' vision was to create a space where artists could come together to create something truly special, and we've been doing just that for over 30 years.
