Welcome to Simple Gifts Farm, Equestrian Riding School, where we believe that the art of horseback riding is a journey of personal growth and self-improvement. Our mission is to provide professional, certified horseback riding instruction in a relaxed and friendly environment, catering to riders of all levels, from beginners to advanced riders. We strive to foster individual progress and improve riding skills through classical riding principles and sound instruction.

Situated on 56 acres in Northwest Montgomery County, our farm features a historic 200-year-old farmhouse and barn, overlooking meticulously maintained pastures, an all-weather, lighted riding arena, and acres of open fields for trail riding and cross-country practice. We are also within hacking distance of the Perkiomen Trail and only a short trailer ride to the trails at Green Lane Park.

At Simple Gifts Farm, we believe that developing a relationship with a horse is a gift founded on trust and confidence, fostered by consistent work and established classical riding principles. Our certified instructors, led by Anita Imms, hold a Level III certification in dressage from the American Riding Instructors' Association and have over 30 years of teaching experience. We offer a variety of programs designed to meet the individual needs of each rider, emphasizing safety, leadership qualities, communication skills, self-confidence, and self-control.

Our teaching philosophy is rooted in the classical principles of horsemanship, which emphasize the importance of understanding the horse's nature and building trust. We believe that horses are not to be forced but rather allowed to find their balance and natural movements, guided by the rider's leadership and communication. Our students receive hands-on experience at all levels of ability, exploring the role of their body in communication between horse and rider and experiencing the impact of working with the horse through a shared understanding of rhythm and security.
