Natural Dye Process

Our area rugs are made with vegetable dyes, resulting in unique, one-of-a-kind pieces with every carpet. This color variation is due to the absorbency of the wool and the varying intensity of the dye bath. The wool used in our carpets is unbleached and hand-spun, which absorbs the natural dye in an uneven and organic way. The color intensity of the dye baths can change with subsequent yarn batches, creating a subtle variation in the yarn dyed in different baths. This process gives our carpets a unique characteristic, making them easy to incorporate into a variety of designs.
