Hi, I'm Tammy Young, and I'm passionate about capturing life's most precious moments through photography. My love affair with photography began when I was just a child, sparked by a friendly photo contest on a family vacation. Even though I can't remember the prize that I won, the feeling of accomplishment and joy it brought me has stayed with me ever since. Photography quickly became a passion, evolving from a casual hobby to a career that I absolutely adore.

After graduating from Liberty University with a degree in Communications, specializing in Graphic Design, I found myself drawn to the world of photography. Working in several local studios after graduating gave me invaluable experience and a solid foundation in the craft. Finally, in 2008, I took the leap and launched my own photography business, Tammy Young Photography.

For over 15 years, it's been my immense privilege to serve the Louisville community by documenting the unique stories, smiles, and memories of individuals and families.

My Approach to Photography

I firmly believe that the best photographs capture genuine emotion and connection. That's why I take a natural and relaxed approach to my sessions. I avoid stiff, posed shots and instead encourage my clients to be themselves, allowing their personalities and relationships to shine through. My goal is to create images that feel timeless and that you'll cherish for years to come.

I also understand that each client has unique needs and preferences. I prefer to work outside of a traditional studio setting, choosing locations that have personal meaning to my clients, whether it's their home, a favorite park, or a place that holds special significance.
