Our Story

Ocean Bleu at Gino's Fish Market and Cafe is an integral part of Newport, Oregon's bustling waterfront community. With deep roots in the area's rich fishing heritage, we've built a reputation for serving the freshest, highest-quality seafood, sustainably sourced and prepared to perfection.

Founded in 1983 as Gino's Fish Market & Deli, this beloved institution quickly became a local favorite, known for its delicious fish and chips and popcorn shrimp. After Gino, the founder, passed away in 2007, the legacy he built stood on the brink of fading into memory. However, in 2010, Vanessa Ferguson, a passionate advocate for fresh seafood and local businesses, stepped in, taking the helm and breathing new life into the family-run establishment. She proudly transformed the market and deli into Ocean Bleu at Gino's, honoring Gino's tradition of excellence while introducing a fresh wave of enticing seafood recipes.
