We are proud to be one of the largest and most successful dance studios in the state of Pennsylvania, with a rich history that spans over eight decades. Founded in 1939 by the late Mr. and Mrs. William Charles Sigel, the studio has been a cornerstone of the Altoona community, providing exceptional dance education to thousands of students.

Our Dance Studio

At Sigel's School of Dance, we specialize in Cecchetti Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, and Hip Hop, offering beginner through advanced classes for students aged 3 years and up. Our experienced and dedicated staff are committed to providing a nurturing and inspiring environment that fosters creativity, discipline, and a lifelong love of dance.

Our Dance Styles

We offer a wide range of dance styles, from classical ballet to modern hip hop, each taught by qualified and experienced instructors. Our Cecchetti Ballet program, directed by master teacher Nancy Sigel, is one of the most highly respected in the region, with many of our students going on to professional careers in dance.

Our Tap program, led by principal teacher Skip Sigel, offers a unique blend of traditional and contemporary techniques, while our Jazz, Lyrical, and Hip Hop programs provide students with a strong foundation in technique and style. Our Musical Theatre program offers students the opportunity to experience the excitement of Broadway-style dance and choreography.
