Empowering Health, Bridging Communities, Exploring AI and Medicine
The American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI) is a professional organization that represents the interests of over 80,000 practicing physicians of Indian origin in the United States. Founded in 1982, AAPI has grown into a strong and vibrant association that is committed to promoting the professional and personal development of its members, improving the quality of healthcare for all Americans, and strengthening the relationships between Indian-American physicians and their counterparts in India.
At AAPI, we believe that the diversity of our members is our greatest strength. We are proud to represent physicians from all regions of India, practicing in all areas of medicine, and serving in all types of healthcare settings. Our members come from a variety of backgrounds, but they share a common commitment to the highest standards of medical practice and ethical conduct.
One of the key ways that AAPI supports its members is through education and professional development. We offer a range of continuing medical education (CME) programs, conferences, and workshops that provide our members with the latest knowledge and skills to enhance their medical practice. Our annual AAPI World Health Congress is a premier event that brings together physicians, healthcare professionals, and leaders from around the world for a dynamic exchange of ideas and a collaborative effort to shape the future of healthcare on a global scale.
Another important priority for AAPI is advocacy. We are committed to advancing the interests of our members and the broader Indian-American community in the policy-making process. We work closely with lawmakers, regulators, and other stakeholders to ensure that the voices of Indian-American physicians are heard and that their perspectives are taken into account in the development of healthcare policies and regulations.
In addition to our advocacy efforts, AAPI is also dedicated to strengthening the relationships between Indian-American physicians and their counterparts in India. We believe that these relationships are critical to advancing the quality of healthcare and medical research in both countries. We support a range of programs and initiatives designed to foster collaboration and exchange between Indian and American physicians, including medical missions, research collaborations, and educational exchanges.
