History of Roamers Rest
The name Roamers Rest enjoys a long history dating back to the 1920s and 30s. During this time, Roamers Rest was a haven for people seeking fun and recreation. For a small fee, families could picnic, enjoy a ball game in the shady groves, take a swim or go boating in the slow-moving Tualatin River. The park rented swimsuits and rowboats and kept a lifeguard on duty. It also had a foot-pedaled swan that kids could paddle up and down the river. The Roamers Rest Tavern was a popular meeting place throughout the 40s and into the following decades. We are proud to have developed a modern RV Park for people seeking to enjoy the serenity and beauty of Roamers Rest RV Park.
