Our founder, Dave Byron, has over 30 years of experience in teaching and performing. Dave specializes in teaching various styles of music, including Rock, Jazz, Blues, Metal, Folk, Country, Indie, and anything in between. He's always open to learning new songs and styles to ensure that his students are learning the music they love.

Our Services

Our lessons are tailored to meet the unique needs of each student. For beginners, we prioritize getting you playing as soon as possible. We believe that being able to play a song provides the most immediate and satisfying reward. On your first lesson, you'll be playing a song, and we'll also introduce you to reading music, understanding music symbols, and basic music theory with an emphasis on practical application.

For intermediate to advanced students, we offer the flexibility to tailor your lessons to your specific wants, needs, goals, and desires. This could include songwriting, advanced song playing, ear training, performance, improvisation, music theory, or a combination of these. No two students are alike, so no two lessons are the same.

Teaching Kids

We love teaching kids and strive to make their learning experience enjoyable and rewarding. We understand that parents want their kids to love and excel at music, and we're committed to helping them achieve that. We generally recommend starting lessons around the age of 7 or 8, but we've had students as young as 6 who have done just fine. After a few lessons, we can evaluate a young student and determine if it's the right time to start.

We provide a safe, comfortable learning environment for young students to thrive in. We're always on time, well-organized, and keep parents informed about their child's progress. Our goal is to be that special teacher who makes a difference in a child's life.

Adult Students

We also enjoy teaching adults of all ages. We understand that finding time to learn a new skill can be challenging, especially with a busy schedule. We work with you to ensure that your music lessons fit into your goals and schedule. We're comfortable using modern technologies like YouTube, apps, and music websites to enhance your learning experience. While these tools are helpful, we believe that nothing replaces a great teacher who can provide personalized guidance and motivation.
