With over two decades of experience, our team of structural engineering professionals has been providing quality engineering services since 1996. Our mission is to create buildings that exceed our clients' expectations while maintaining elements of public safety in full accord with governing local and national code requirements and standards of construction.

Our Team

Our team comprises experienced structural engineering professionals with a passion for delivering quality engineering services. Our team leader, Mr. J. David Tatum, P.E., has over 37 years of structural engineering experience and has played a pivotal role in expanding and improving educational facilities across the Midwest.

Mr. Tatum's Background

Mr. Tatum holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Engineering from Kansas State University (1979). He has been instrumental in many educational facility improvements, including the Siloam Springs High School Expansion and the Bentonville West High School Campus.

Mr. Smith's Background

Mr. Mark A. Smith, P.E., S.E., is an original co-founding member of TSE. He has over 21 years of structural engineering experience and has worked in 43 states, obtaining his original licensure as a professional engineer in 2000. Mr. Smith serves as project manager and engineer of record on several of our largest and highest-profile projects across the country.
