Vi Bella

Founded in 2011 by Julie Hulstein, Vi Bella is a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to empowering individuals and communities in Haiti through dignified employment. Our mission stems from witnessing the urgent need for sustainable jobs to keep families united and children out of orphanages. Over the past decade, we have expanded from handmade jewelry to include sewn goods and traditional Haitian home goods, collaborating with over 50 artisans, including those with disabilities who often face significant employment barriers. Our commitment to Fair Trade principles ensures ethical sourcing and production, while additional support like school scholarships and medical assistance for artisans' families reinforces our holistic approach.
