Our Story

TGIS Catering was founded in 1989 by Sofia Riley, a restaurateur with a passion for food and a knack for creating memorable events. Over the years, we have grown from a small kitchen in Long Beach to the forefront of event planning and catering in Southern California. In 1999, Sofia invited her brother, George Marinos, to partner with her, bringing his unique visual flair and elegance to every TGIS event.

Our Team

Our team is comprised of experienced professionals who share a love for food and a commitment to excellence. Sofia Riley, our President and Founder, has a keen eye for detail and a knack for creating unforgettable events. George Marinos, our Chief Executive Officer, brings a passion for food and a unique visual flair to every event. Our Director of Sales, Jeremy Smith, has a deep understanding of our clients' needs and ensures that every event exceeds expectations. Mark Rivera, our Director of Events, oversees the logistics of each event, ensuring that every detail is meticulously planned. Monica Sajor and Staci Collins, our Event Managers, work closely with clients to tailor events to their specific needs and preferences.
