Our History

Our story began in 1894 when Standard Lumber Company was founded by F.H Jackson and Charles and Roscoe Horton. Over the years, the company experienced significant growth, acquiring nearby lumberyards in Janesville, Lake Crystal, and Le Sueur. By the 1930s, Standard Lumber Company had expanded to 39 lumberyards. In 1970, Duane DeBlieck joined the company as a manager, and later, he and his wife, Brenda, purchased the business in 1988. They changed the name to St. Peter Lumber Company and have been serving the community ever since.

Family-Owned and Operated

Our son, Chad DeBlieck, started working at the lumber yard as a teenager and has since become an integral part of our operations.
