Biola Counseling Center

The Biola Counseling Center is a mental health facility that provides psychological services to La Mirada, CA and surrounding communities. We also serve the faculty, staff, and students of Biola University. Our team of therapists is composed of associated professionals from Biola University's Rosemead School of Psychology, either as clinical faculty or doctoral students who are supervised by licensed clinical psychologists. Additionally, our Doctoral Intern therapists come from Rosemead as well as several other APA-Accredited doctoral programs in psychology.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide exceptional mental health services to our clients, empowering them to navigate the challenges of daily living. We strive to create a safe and supportive environment where individuals can explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and develop strategies to improve their overall well-being. Our therapists are trained to help clients address a range of issues, including depression, anxiety, loneliness, low self-esteem, and difficulties with relationships.

Our Services

We offer a comprehensive range of services to meet the unique needs of our clients. Our services include:

• Individual therapy sessions to help clients address specific issues and develop coping strategies
• Group therapy sessions to provide a supportive community and facilitate social skills development
• Drop-in consultation services for clients who require immediate support
• Mental health awareness and resources to educate clients on mental health topics
• Psychotherapeutic services for children and adolescents, including individual sessions and consultation with caregivers
• APA Doctoral Internship Program to train and develop the next generation of mental health professionals
