Carma Shay, M.S., CCC-SLP, is the owner and founder of Take Home Speech LLC. With a Master's Degree in Communication Sciences Disorders, Carma is a dedicated and experienced speech-language pathologist licensed in the State of Alaska. She is nationally certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and holds the esteemed Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC). Carma's passion for working with children led her to specialize in pediatric speech, language, and feeding therapy. She is particularly skilled in treating childhood apraxia of speech and children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.

Beyond traditional therapy, Carma is a sought-after expert in oral motor function strengthening. trained in the Beckman Oral Motor Protocol, she possesses a deep understanding of the complex relationship between oral motor skills and speech, language, and feeding. Carma's commitment to ongoing professional development ensures she stays at the forefront of advancements in the field.

Carma is an active member of ASHA's Special Interest Group 13, focused on swallowing and swallowing disorders.
