The Children's Playroom

The Children's Playroom was established in 1999 by the Langham Family with the mission of providing parents with high-quality, part-time child care. Recognizing the need for reliable and flexible child care options, The Langhams worked tirelessly to change Tennessee state law to increase the hours that drop-in centers could care for children from 10 hours a week to 20. Since then, The Children's Playroom has been dedicated to maintaining a safe, clean, and fun environment for all children that visit. Our team of top-notch Caregivers are fingerprint background checked, CPR & First Aid certified, and have years of experience working with children. We are proud to be licensed by the State of Tennessee, which includes announced and unannounced inspections to ensure the highest safety standards.

Services Offered

The Children's Playroom offers drop-in child care services for children aged 6 weeks to 12 years old at our convenient locations in Belle Meade and Brentwood, Tennessee. Our services are available on a hourly basis, with no reservations required. However, we do recommend making reservations for children under 15 months old. Our services can be used for a variety of purposes, such as:

• Date Night: Enjoy a well-deserved evening out while your children are safe and having fun in our care.
• Adult Activities: Take a class, attend a meeting, or run errands while your children are taken care of.
• Overlapping Work Schedules: When your work schedules don't align, we've got you covered.
• Reliable, Part-Time Daycare: Our drop-in child care services provide a reliable and affordable solution for part-time daycare.
• Unexpected Meeting: When unexpected meetings come up, we're here to help.
• School is Cancelled: When school is out, bring your children to us for a fun and safe alternative.
• Girl's Shopping Trip: Shop till you drop while your children are taken care of.
• Give Grandparents a Break: Give grandparents a well-deserved break and let us take care of your children.
• Mommy Needs a Break: Take some time for yourself and let us take care of your children.
• Backup Babysitter: We're here when your regular babysitter can't make it.

Our Mission

We are committed to accommodating your child's schedule, providing nutritious meals and snacks, and keeping our facilities clean and safe. We also offer a variety of activities, including a video game room for older kids with E-rated games.
