Sharkie's Academy is the premier destination for private swim lessons, baby and me classes, adult swim lessons, and CPR/AED certification. Our mission is to combine passion, experience, and fun for the whole family, all while prioritizing safety above all else. Located in Smyrna, Georgia, our state-of-the-art facility at 1318 Concord Rd. Smyrna, GA 30080 is dedicated to providing the highest quality of swim instruction and water survival skills.

Private Swim Lessons

At Sharkie's Academy, we specialize in one-on-one attention with our students. We believe that private instruction is the most effective and efficient way for students to learn the fundamentals and master the skills of water survival. Our expert instructors provide individualized attention and tailor each lesson to the student's unique needs and abilities. We offer private lessons for all ages, starting from 6 months and up. Our "safety lesson" is one of the unique aspects of our program, where students come to their lesson fully dressed to simulate real-life situations and teach them how to react in case of an emergency.

Baby & Me Swim Classes

Our Baby & Me course is designed for infants aged 6 months to 3 years and their caregivers. This course introduces infants to the water in a fun and loving environment while teaching parents or caregivers proper techniques to introduce their infants and toddlers to skills such as holding their breath, submersion, moving in the water, and rolling over and floating on their back. Our first priority is survival and safety, but classes incorporate songs and activities to make it fun and engaging while meeting swim skill benchmarks. Classes also include safety lessons for the caregivers that cover proper entry techniques, safety equipment, and emergency action plans.

Adult Swim Lessons

Yes, we offer adult swim lessons too! We understand that learning a new skill can be intimidating, especially as we get older. That's why we take a calm, yet productive approach to teaching. Swim lessons are once each week for 25 minutes with your own personal instructor. Together, you and your coach will develop a trusting relationship that will help you soar with your newly learned survival skill.

CPR & AED Certification

Emergency First Responder training is crucial for everyone. At Sharkie's Academy, we offer CPR & AED certification courses for those who want to be prepared in emergency situations. Our certified instructors provide hands-on training and ensure that each student is confident and equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to respond effectively in an emergency.

Each instructor undergoes a rigorous training program and is certified in water safety and swim instruction. Our staff is committed to creating a safe, fun, and supportive learning environment for all students.

Calendar & Enrollment

We offer lessons year-round, and our calendar is updated regularly with upcoming classes and sessions. Enrollment is easy and can be done online or in person. Tuition will be adjusted for 5-lesson months, and billing is automatic on the 25th of the month for the following month.
