Our History
Founded in 1981 by a group of community activists, The Exchange began as a small, one-room cabin at the Orcas Transfer Station. Over the years, we have grown into a thriving organization, now operating from a larger facility on Orcas Road. Our humble beginnings as a reuse center have evolved into a comprehensive recycling facility, offering a range of services to the community.
