Our Story

Our journey began in 2011, when the National Science Foundation funded the development of our containerized microgrid technology. Initially, we focused on rapidly deploying microgrids for disaster relief in the Caribbean. Over time, we expanded our reach to provide affordable energy resilience to remote indigenous communities, critical facilities, and rural customers for utilities like Liberty Utilities and PG&E.

Our vision is a world in which every rural energy consumer has access to clean, reliable, and affordable energy. We aim to achieve this by offering a comprehensive ecosystem of software and hardware solutions that optimize the performance and accelerate the deployment of solar plus storage microgrids.

Our Services

BoxPower provides a seamless end-to-end solution for rural microgrid projects. Our services include:

• Design: We start with an energy audit using our proprietary EASI software, which configures a microgrid solution tailored to our customers' exact needs.
• Install: We configure our pre-engineered products and rapidly deploy systems on-site in a matter of days.
• Manage: We offer lifetime operation and maintenance support, optimizing systems with remote monitoring and control capabilities.
