VIP Scooters was established in 2002 by Bob Early, driven by the need for a local store that carried handicap scooters in the Shenandoah Valley area. Bob's Father-in-Law required a scooter, and the difficulties faced in finding one highlighted the demand for a reliable and customer-focused medical equipment provider in the region. Since its inception, VIP Scooters has continuously expanded its selection and inventory of high-quality products, collaborating with reputable manufacturers known for providing excellent warranty services and support.

Over the years, VIP Scooters has evolved to cater to the diverse needs of its customer base. In 2003, lifts and ramps were added to the product line to enable easier transportation of scooters, ensuring customers enjoyed greater mobility and freedom away from home. The following year, power wheelchairs were introduced, and local warehouse space was acquired to accommodate the growing inventory.

In 2004, the showroom space was doubled, and an even wider range of durable medical products, including wheelchairs, rollators, walkers, power seats, and stair lifts, were made available. The expansion continued in 2009 with a relocation to a new facility on Port Republic Road, which featured four times the showroom space and introduced Bedroom, Bathroom, and Living Room furnishings. The product families were further expanded to better serve customer needs.

In 2014, VIP Scooters moved to its current location in the Clover Leaf Shopping Center, offering an even larger showroom to display its extensive range of products. The company is proud to offer a wide variety of items for sale both online and in-store, with a constantly changing selection that reflects valuable customer feedback and suggestions.
