Summy's Catering

At Summy's Catering, we believe that food is more than just sustenance; it's a way to bring people together. Our journey began in 1990 when Joe and Elsie Summy started baking bread and pies for Yoder's Country Market in Pratts, VA. For 13 years, we honed our skills alongside our dairy business, and in 2003, we decided to sell our dairy cows and switch to beef cows. We also expanded our services to include full-service catering.

Our family, which includes five children and five grandchildren, has always been at the heart of our business. We love cooking for our family as much as we do for our customers. Our commitment to quality, homemade, Dutch cooking has earned us a reputation in the Central Virginia region, including Madison, Orange, Culpeper, Ruckersville, and Charlottesville.

We specialize in catering for various events such as weddings, holiday parties, meetings, reunions, auctions, banquets, and more. We understand that each event is unique and requires personalized attention. That's why we offer customized menus to suit your specific needs and preferences. Whether you're planning an intimate gathering or a grand celebration, we're here to help make your event unforgettable.

Our Menus

We offer a variety of menus to cater to different tastes and preferences. Our Dinner Menu, starting at $20 per person, includes meats, vegetables, potatoes, salad, bread, dessert, and beverages. For a more casual affair, our Picnic Menu, also starting at $20 per person, features two meat options, three side options, bread, one dessert, and a beverage.

If you're looking for something a bit more exotic, our Go Italian Menu offers a main dish, vegetable, salad, bread, and dessert of your choice, starting at $20 per person. For smaller, more informal gatherings, our Hors D'oeuvres Menu, starting at $25 per person, includes meats, vegetables, salad, cheese, dessert, and beverages.

We also offer a range of homemade pies and desserts that have been a staple of our business since 1990. And for corporate events or picnics, our Box Lunches, starting at $12.00 per person, come with a sandwich, potato or pasta salad, a fruit cup, and a beverage.
