Our Mission

Valley Interfaith Child Care Center (VICCC) envisions a future where every young child in the New River Valley has the opportunity to reach their full potential. We believe access to high-quality, affordable childcare is essential for the success of working families and the overall well-being of our community.

Our Beginnings

In 2003, a group of compassionate Blacksburg residents recognized the desperate need for accessible childcare for low-income families in the New River Valley. Faced with few options, many young children were missing out on crucial developmental experiences. This passionate group identified the opportunity to fill this gap and VICCC was born.

Nurturing Growth and Development

VICCC provides a nurturing and stimulating environment where young minds can flourish. Our skilled and compassionate caregivers offer age-appropriate learning activities that support children's cognitive, physical, social, and emotional growth.

Our Services

We offer comprehensive childcare services for children from six weeks to twelve years, including:

• Infants & Toddlers: Loving and responsive care for the youngest minds, focusing on sensory exploration, language development, and physical milestones.
• Preschool: Creative and engaging activities that foster social skills, cognitive growth, and a love for learning.
• School-Age: After-school program providing safe transportation, homework assistance, and recreational activities.

Community Collaboration

VICCC thrives on partnerships. We collaborate with local governments, social service agencies, civic groups, businesses, and faith communities to expand our reach and offer the highest quality care.
