I am a New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of experience providing psychotherapy services on Long Island. I hold a Master's Degree in Social Work from Temple University and have undergone additional training in the Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy (PACT) and Interpersonal Approach to Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy. I am also a Credentialed Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC). My education and training have equipped me with the skills and knowledge to treat a wide range of psychological and emotional issues in individuals, couples, and families.

About My Practice

My practice focuses on treating couples, adults, and adolescents who may be struggling with issues such as divorce, bereavement, anxiety, depression, infidelity, and addictions. I take an in-depth approach to understanding each individual who comes to my practice, taking into account their developmental history and family history to gain a holistic view of their experiences and needs.

In my work with couples, I incorporate many facets of my education and training to help couples recognize and understand patterns of behavior within their relationship. My approach is based on the PACT model, which emphasizes the importance of secure functioning relationships based on mutuality, fairness, sensitivity, and justice. By becoming true experts on one another, couples can avoid many of the pitfalls of relationships and operate in a system that fosters growth, understanding, and compassion.

I believe that collaboration is key to providing the highest standard of care for my patients. As such, I regularly collaborate with other mental health professionals in the community, as well as school personnel and referral sources as needed. My goal is to create a supportive and nurturing environment where individuals, couples, and families can heal, grow, and thrive.
